Revised Journal Entry #1

Now for the first piece that I played was Sea Trilogy.  I have been practicing this song for days now, and I starting to get to the point were I will know all at a decent pace. What I could have done was to practice this a little bit faster because Mr. Ash will ask us to play it faster than I just did. secondly, I would like to say that I was also pretty accurate the way I played it. this is good because if I can play it accurate and fast, that will be the best outcome out there. overall, I think I did an ok job on it.

Now, for the second peace, I just started to practice in the first 30 mins. For 30 min, I think I did ok practicing. Some of the thinks that I could have done better is looking ahead and not stumbling over the music. If I read ahead better, I wouldn't be hesitating over what are the right notes and that notes that I don't want to play. Another thing that I noticed was that I could not slur up to the A very well. If I keep missing it like that, then I will not pass the audition.

Journal Entry #1

before I get started with this journal entry, I will like to say that I have no video and I will try to video tape the next time I practice. now, for my practice today, I did warm ups and started to practice my music for MSBOA Honors band. now, I was sight reading this piece and it was very hard for me, so what I did was slow down the tempo and started to practice slower. most of the note I am starting to learn, but I have got how to subdivide and the tempo. the thinks that I am having the most trouble with is the note. some of the note I have not used very to much so Its a learning process for me. And lastly, I had trouble with some of the counting. because its in 3/8, it a little hard to count because i am not used to 3/8 time.
